The Rio Lindo Adventist Spartans lost against the Napa Christian Knights back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Rio Lindo Adventist suffered a rough 75-50 defeat at the hands of Napa Christian. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rio Lindo Adventist in their matchups with Napa Christian: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jhordany Barcenas, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Campbell, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds.
Rio Lindo Adventist now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Napa Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rio Lindo Adventist will take on Summerfield Waldorf at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Napa Christian, they will play host again and welcome Trinity Prep, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
