On Saturday, The Waldron Mohawks faced the Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Waldron was dealt a 38-8 loss at the hands of Indiana School for the Deaf. It was the first time this season that Waldron let down their fans at home.
Jayden DeFalco continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Indiana School for the Deaf, rushing for 144 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while also throwing for 221 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes. DeFalco was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Saaty, who gained 83 total yards and three touchdowns.
Indiana School for the Deaf's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. The heavy lifting was done by Calvin Cuppy and Leon LeFors who racked up seven sacks between them.
Waldron's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Waldron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Indiana School for the Deaf is also done with their season.
