Harmony School of Discovery lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adedayo Adelakum, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Messiah Graves, who scored five points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Van Vleck was led to victory by Corey Austin and Micah Burks. Austin dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Burks dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Burks continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Ridge Huerta was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
Harmony School of Discovery bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Van Vleck, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.
Harmony School of Discovery will look to defend their home court on Friday against Danbury at 5:00 p.m. Danbury has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for Van Vleck, they will head out on the road to face off against Brazos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
