Carolina Forest is a perfect 3-0 against Wando since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will face off against the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Carolina Forest has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Carolina Forest took a loss when they played away from home last Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Christian Academy 78-49. The matchup marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

JJ Gray had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 30 points and ten boards. His big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kade Taylor, who posted ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Carolina Forest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Wando came up short against Philip Simmons on Wednesday and fell 60-52.
Carolina Forest will have to keep a close watch on Connor Corrigan and Sully Templeton, a pair of players who had a big impact on Wando's prior game. Corrigan went 8-for-15 en route to 17 points and three steals, while Templeton shot 50% from the field to rack up 14 points and six boards. Templeton is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahmari Malone, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 10 points.
Wando now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Carolina Forest, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: Carolina Forest has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 8.5 threes per game. It's a different story for Wando, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 three-pointers. Given Carolina Forest's sizable advantage in that area, the Warriors will need to find a way to close that gap.
Carolina Forest was able to grind out a solid victory over Wando when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 70-63. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
