The Green Forest Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Blue Eye, falling 66-36. Green Forest has not had much luck with Blue Eye recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Green Forest lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brayden Compton. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Compton continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Sebastian Holsted was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Green Forest bumped their record down to 5-15 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Blue Eye, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Forest will take on Elkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Eye will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Purdy at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
