After both having extra time off, the Chiles Timberwolves and the Choctawhatchee Indians will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Chiles comes in on 12 and Choctawhatchee on six.
Chiles is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Lincoln as they made off with a 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Chiles took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-6, 25-9.

Chiles relied on the efforts of Natalie Gibson, who had ten digs and two aces, and Madison Joyner, who had 14 digs and eight assists. Those eight assists gave Joyner a new career-high. Loganne Abernathy also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.
Meanwhile, Choctawhatchee beat Mosley 3-1 on Thursday.
Choctawhatchee's win came from a few key players Chiles will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mikah Bandy, who had 19 digs. Airabella Delay was another key player, getting five digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Choctawhatchee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in nine consecutive matches.
Chiles' victory bumped their record up to 26-1. As for Choctawhatchee, their win bumped their record up to 15-12.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's matchup: Chiles has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Choctawhatchee struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.3 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Chiles took their victory against Choctawhatchee in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Timberwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
