Wallkill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Zoe Mesuch out in front who scored 29 points along with five assists. The matchup was Mesuch's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Sam Dembinsky was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Meanwhile, the stars were shining brightly for Pine Bush in a 60-42 win over Middletown last Tuesday. Given Pine Bush's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Middletown is ranked 364th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wallkill now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Pine Bush, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
