The Dundee-Crown Chargers will take on the Jacobs Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jacobs took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dundee-Crown, who comes in off a win.
Jacobs will be up against a hot Dundee-Crown squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Chargers came out on top against Larkin by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday.
The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Dundee-Crown was: they took both sets by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dundee-Crown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nina Marcant, who had ten digs and four aces. That's the most digs Marcant has posted over her last seven contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Maura Minogue, who had ten digs and two assists.
They weren't the only good servers: Dundee-Crown was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Jacobs didn't have quite enough to beat Crystal Lake Central on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Jacobs actually scored more points across those three sets (71-68), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-23, 25-23.
Dundee-Crown will have to contain Rylee Van Stone as she made an impact in Jacobs' last game. She had 13 digs and one assist.
Dundee-Crown's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Jacobs, their loss dropped their record down to 15-17.
Dundee-Crown beat Jacobs 2-0 when the teams last played back in September. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
