Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Wilson Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by Midlothian Heritage 59-24 on Thursday. Wilson just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midlothian Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Rutenbar, who threw for 158 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 passes. Za'Ko Davis was another key contributor, rushing for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Wilson has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Midlothian Heritage, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Midlothian Heritage will take on Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Marshall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 146th, while Midlothian Heritage is ranked 28th).
