Softball Recap: Analy's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

While Analy's victory against Terra Linda wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Trojans 4-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Carlee Maddocks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits.

On the hitting side, Analy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maya Antonelli, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Analy's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Terra Linda, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Analy will head out to take on Sonoma Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Terra Linda, they will square off against Archie Williams at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Peregrine Falcons will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
