The Reagan Raiders won the last time they faced the Western Guilford Hornets, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Reagan sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 victory over Western Guilford.
Aniyah Shannon and Kayla Bridges certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Shannon scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals, while Bridges scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Shannon is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Massey, who scored 6 points.
The victory got Reagan back to even at 2-2. As for Western Guilford, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Reagan will be playing in front of their home fans against Oak Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Western Guilford, they will head out on the road to face off against Jordan-Matthews at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
