Signal Mountain hasn't had much luck against Soddy Daisy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Signal Mountain will host Soddy Daisy at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Signal Mountain is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Red Bank with a sharp 17-6 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

May Collier spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Berkley Roddy, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a stolen base, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hannah Gill, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Roddy wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Signal Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Soddy Daisy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Graves County on Saturday. Soddy Daisy blew past Graves County 10-1. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Soddy Daisy also let their pitcher toss all six innings played and she was also dialed-in: Izzy Webb gave up only one earned run on five hits.
On the hitting side, Soddy Daisy got a massive performance out of Skylar Gooden, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Lilyana Blaylock was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.
Soddy Daisy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. Signal Mountain's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.
Signal Mountain might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Soddy Daisy in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will Signal Mountain have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
