The ThunderRidge Grizzlies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Highlands Ranch 88-64. Winning may never get old, but ThunderRidge sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Leading ThunderRidge to victory were Tommy Wight and Charlie Spann. Wight scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while Spann dropped a double-double on 33 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Spann has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Crawford, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Despite the defeat, Highlands Ranch had strong showings from George West III, who scored 13 points along with two steals, and Olin Anderson, who scored 12 points along with two blocks. Luke Bakken was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
ThunderRidge pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points per game. As for Highlands Ranch, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. ThunderRidge will take on Douglas County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Douglas County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine games. As for Highlands Ranch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Heritage is ranked 70th, while Highlands Ranch is ranked 83rd).
