Central (Miami, Fla.) snapped the 12-game winning streak of Heritage (Palm Bay, Fla.), with a 54-3 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Dalvin Cook in the first quarter, the Rockets led 27-0 at the half.
Central grew its lead to 47 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Cook.
With the win the Miami school extended its winning streak to 10 games. Central defeated Dillard 59-14 last week.
The Rockets had given up an average of 16.4 points prior to the contest. The Panthers came in surrendering 7.4 points per game this season.
The loss comes after Heritage defeated Naples 27-19 last week.
