Pawhuska have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will take on Langston Hughes Academy at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Pawhuska have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Pawhuska beat Hominy 44-38 two weeks ago. Pawhuska found their leader in underclassman sophomore Bryce Drummond, who passed for 268 yards and 4 touchdowns. Drummond has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, after a dominant win in their matchup, Langston Hughes Academy were humbled last Friday. They took a hard 22-40 fall against Pawnee.
Pawhuska's victory lifted them to 5-3 while Langston Hughes Academy's defeat dropped them down to 1-6. We'll see if Pawhuska's success rolls on or if Langston Hughes Academy are able to steal their positive momentum.
