The Kingstree Blazers came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Lee Central by a score of 30-23. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kingstree also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Kingstree's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from MAKAYLA DUKES, who scored 12 points along with eight steals and seven assists. DUKES is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. NAYDIA SHAW was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Kingstree pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lee Central, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingstree will take on Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Marion is ranked 133rd, while Kingstree is ranked 112th). As for Lee Central, they will be playing at home against Mullins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
