Christian Jones was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 19 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Lewis Sotelo, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Burleson suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-30 loss at the hands of Mansfield Summit. Burleson has struggled against Mansfield Summit recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Mansfield Timberview pushed their record up to 21-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Burleson, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season.
Everything went Mansfield Timberview's way against Burleson when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as Mansfield Timberview made off with a 74-54 win. With Mansfield Timberview ahead 44-24 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
