Overland is 9-1 against the Warriors since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Overland Trailblazers will head out on the road to face off against the Arapahoe Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Overland is ranked 30th, while the Warriors are ranked 36th).
Even though Cherokee Trail scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Overland still came out on top. Overland secured a 61-56 W over the Cougars.
Overland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Siraaj Ali out in front who scored ten points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aidan Perez, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Arapahoe pushed their score all the way to 65 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mullen. Arapahoe has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Overland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Arapahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Overland came up short against the Warriors in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 60-54. Can Overland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
