The Harvard Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 68-26 loss at the hands of Silver Lake. Harvard has not had much luck with Silver Lake recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Harvard still got an impressive performance from Eduardo Perez, who scored ten points along with three steals and two blocks. Perez's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight.
Silver Lake had a senior duo take command as Tayten Menke scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and three steals and Jordan Faimon scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Menke has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Casey Conway, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Harvard dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home. As for Silver Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
Harvard will be playing in front of their home fans against Elba at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Elba is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Silver Lake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wilcox-Hildreth at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Allowing an average of 57.1 points per game, Wilcox-Hildreth has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this matchup.
