The American History Bald Eagles are on the road again on Friday and plays the McNair Academic Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Wednesday, American History was the victim of a rough 70-46 defeat at the hands of the Redwings. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for American History in their matchups with the Redwings: they've now lost three in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Ihjamir Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted four or more blocks the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Edgar De Los Santos, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, McNair Academic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell to Ferris 43-37.
American History has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. McNair Academic's record now sits at 10-8.
American History beat the Cougars 64-51 in their previous meeting back in February of 2018. Does American History have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
