Highland Park is 4-0 against Wyandotte since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Highland Park Scots will be home for the holidays to greet the Wyandotte Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Highland Park will be strutting in after a victory while Wyandotte will be coming in after a loss.
Last Thursday, Highland Park blew past Southeast, posting a 63-0 victory on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Highland Park.
Highland Park's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tahtionna Broils , who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Amelia Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wyandotte's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 54-28 walloping at the hands of Varsity Opponent. Wyandotte was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.
Wyandotte's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jaylynn Hunt, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 2-0 season records intact.
Everything came up roses for Highland Park against Wyandotte in their previous matchup back in February as the team secured a 66-37 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Wyandotte's Kevionna Dodds, who scored 19 points along with 4 steals. Now that she won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Highland Park to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
