Tomah is 0-10 against Aquinas since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Tomah Timberwolves will head out on the road to face off against the Aquinas Blugolds at 7:15 p.m. Tomah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Aquinas is ranked 106th).
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-34, which was the final score in Tomah's tilt against Onalaska on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Aquinas had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They claimed a resounding 82-25 win over Melrose-Mindoro on the road.
Samantha Davis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. The game was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Madeline Murphy was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Tomah's victory lifted them to 1-4 while Onalaska's loss dropped them down to 3-2.
Tomah was dealt a bruising 80-29 loss at the hands of Aquinas in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for Tomah, Macy Donarski (who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 10 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
