After a string of four wins, the Idabel Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 49-36 to Madill. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Idabel has scored all season.
Ethan Wilkerson was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds for Madill. Wilkerson is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Greg Padgett was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Idabel's loss dropped their record down to 14-2. As for Madill, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Idabel will take on Ada at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oklahoma (Ada is ranked 53rd, while Idabel is ranked 40th). As for Madill, Madill and Sulphur will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
