Carlynton has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Hickory Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Carlynton's 19-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 74-52 walloping at the hands of Fort Cherry last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Hickory ended up a good deal behind Austintown-Fitch on Tuesday and lost 66-51. While losing is never fun, Hickory can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 231st in Pennsylvania, while Austintown-Fitch is ranked 59th in Ohio).
Carlynton's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Hickory, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
