The Leflore County Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Riverside out 70-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Riverside still got an impressive performance from Aaron Stewart, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Stewart scored a full 27.9% of Riverside's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. BJ Amos was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Leflore County's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-12. As for Riverside, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-6.
Leflore County will take on O'Bannon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverside, they will head out on the road to face off against North Side at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Side is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
