This season hasn't been kind to the Islands Sharks, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They took a hard 44-28 fall against St. Andrew's on Wednesday. Islands lost against St. Andrew's in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-17 score last time.

Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. Maren Wrieden was another key contributor, scoring nine points.

Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for St. Andrew's, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.
Islands' road trip will continue as they head out to face Wayne County at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for St. Andrew's, they will be playing at home against Westminster Schools of Augusta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westminster Schools of Augusta presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. Andrew's in Georgia (Westminster Schools of Augusta is ranked 111th, while St. Andrew's is ranked 450th).
