The Climax-Scotts Panthers lost against the Colon Magi back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Climax-Scotts took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Colon. Climax-Scotts has not had much luck with Colon recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Colon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nic Mock led the charge by scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Mock has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Dalton Williams, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Climax-Scotts has not been sharp recently as the team has lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Colon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.
Climax-Scotts will head out on the road to square off against St. Philip Catholic Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Colon, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pittsford at 7:00 p.m.
