Fans got a thrill when Emanuel Gant and Massiah Smith connected against Coconino. The connection went for 74 yards, the longest such play in III Section VI this season.
Moon Valley and Independence played the closest game in the league this week, with Moon Valley eventually emerging with a 47-42 victory. Shannon Burton threw for 242 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 72 yards in the win.
Tempe's dynamic duo of Gant and Smith proved to be unstoppable against the Panthers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gant threw for 348 yards and 4 touchdowns and Smith had 175 yards receiving. Kam'ron Johnson helped Tempe's passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 95 yards.
The Buffaloes' dynamic duo of Gant and Smith proved tough for Coconino to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Antwain Marlowe was the most successful running back in III Section VI this week. He ran for 140 yards on 26 carries as Washington defeated Coconino. Teammate James Rasmussen added to the ground attack by rushing for 75 yards.
Tempe's Gant and Smith have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Gant has thrown for 670 yards this season, while Smith has 14 catches for 345 yards. Phoenix Christian's Scottie Jordan leads the league in rushing yards with 203.
The Buffaloes took down the Panthers 51-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Gant during the win.
