Murtaugh is 2-7 against Oakley since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Murtaugh Red Devils will look to defend their home court against the Oakley Hornets at 7:30 p.m.
Last Saturday, Murtaugh ended up a good deal behind Butte County and lost 60-46. Murtaugh has not had much luck with Butte County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Oakley posted their closest victory yet this season last Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Rockland 46-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oakley.
Murtaugh dropped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Oakley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Murtaugh came out on top in a nail-biter against Oakley in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, sneaking past 36-34. Does Murtaugh have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oakley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
