Goliad barely beat Karnes City the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Badgers on Friday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Badgers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Goliad got a massive performance out of Ty Marek, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave Marek a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Barrett Irwin, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Goliad's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Karnes City, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
