In what's become a running theme this season, the Marcellus Mustangs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 79-38 victory over Solvay at home. Winning may never get old, but Marcellus sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Marcellus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Will Burnett, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds. Burnett has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Will Kershaw, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Marcellus pushed their record up to 16-1 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.9 points. As for Solvay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.
Marcellus will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Solvay, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Lakers at 6:30 p.m.
