Glenbard North (Carol Stream, Ill.) saw its 10-point lead shrink to nine, but hung on to defeat
Naperville North (Naperville, Ill.) 37-28 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Justin Jackson touchdown run in the second quarter, the Panthers were up 24-21 at the half.
Glenbard North grew its lead to 10 points entering the fourth quarter. GN's lone score in the quarter came on a Jackson touchdown run.
The Carol Stream school also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 34-10.
The loss comes after Naperville North defeated Thornton 14-0 last week.
In a DuPage Valley game next week Glenbard North (2-1) takes on Lake Park, and Naperville North (1-2) will go up against Wheaton North also in a DuPage Valley game.
