Springfield has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Twin Valley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
Last Thursday, Springfield had to suffer through a rough 96-30 loss at the hands of Hartford. Springfield has not had much luck with Hartford recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Meanwhile, Twin Valley waltzed into their contest Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bellows Falls 51-48.
Twin Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brayden Brown led the charge by scoring 23 points along with five assists and three steals. The contest was Brown's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Noah Dornbrgh, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Twin Valley, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Springfield might still be hurting after the 55-31 defeat they got from Twin Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. Can Springfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
