Mountainburg have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Marshall on Friday at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
Two weeks ago, Mountainburg came up short against Greenland, falling 39-53. Mountainburg got a solid performance out of sophomore Ethan Gregory, who rushed for 94 yards and 3 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Marshall have to be hurting after a devastating 16-41 loss at the hands of Quitman last Friday. Marshall were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 8-28.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
