The Bear River Bears''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Spanish Fork with points to spare, taking the game 47-33. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Bear River's seven-point performance the match before.
Bear River got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Owen Olsen out in front who rushed for 161 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Talon Marble, who gained 134 total yards and three touchdowns.
Bear River's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Spanish Fork, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7.
Bear River is on the road again on Friday and play against Sky View at 6:00 p.m. on October 27th. Sky View is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Spanish Fork does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
