After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Kalida brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They blew past the Crestview Knights 11-1 on Saturday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Kalida's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Crestview, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Kalida will challenge St. John's at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Crestview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lima Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderbirds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.17 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
