The Kalskag Grizzly Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 76-26 loss at the hands of Cook Inlet Academy. Kalskag was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-11.
Ian McGarry was his usual excellent self, scoring 13 points for Cook Inlet Academy. Another player making a difference was Alek McGarry, who scored nine points.
Kalskag dropped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Cook Inlet Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Kalskag on the road again on Friday and play against Ninilchik at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Ninilchik has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three matches. As for Cook Inlet Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lumen Christi at 6:30 p.m. Lumen Christi has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29.
