Marshfield had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 31-23 win over Monett. The success made it back-to-back wins for Marshfield. The game brought Marshfield to 2-0 and dropped Monett to a mirror-image 0-2.
Marshfield will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Mt. Vernon at 7:00 PM. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous games. As for Monett, they will face off against Cassville. Monett continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight contest.
