Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anniston). Everything went their way against the Talladega Tigers on Tuesday as they made off with a 17-1 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Caleb Ackles was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Goodson, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Anniston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Anniston's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Talladega, they dropped their record down to 1-20 with the defeat, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Talladega will face off against Central of Coosa County at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Anniston will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' match: after the Tigers faces off against the Cougars, they'll take on Anniston again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
