On Wednesday, Bayshore Christian suffered a tough 69-44 loss at the hands of Plant City. While losing is never fun, Bayshore Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 611th, while Plant City is ranked 96th).
When it comes to explaining why Bayshore Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jace Jreisat. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. The game was Jreisat's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Will Stayte was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Plant City was led to victory by Gavin Tinsley and Michael Bell. Tinsley scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, while Bell scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Tinsley's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Morris, who scored seven points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Bayshore Christian and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for Plant City, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Bayshore Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Haines City at 9:00 a.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Haines City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 36 on Wednesday. Plant City won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Viera at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Viera has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
