Shenandoah fell 49-37 to Franklin County on Thursday. Shenandoah found out winning isn't easy when you make five fewer threes than your opponent.
Shenandoah lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Lee, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Lee hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Haley Hughes, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
It was another big night for Nicole Mears, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and four blocks for Franklin County. Madesyn Sunderhaus was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Shenandoah's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Franklin County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will challenge Wapahani at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin County will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.4 points per game.
