The Eastern Alamance Eagles came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 62-56 victory over Person. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Eastern Alamance found their leader in underclassman Jayden Adams, who scored 20 points along with four steals. Adams continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Reaves, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Eastern Alamance pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points per game. As for Person, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern Alamance will take on Southern Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern Alamance knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Eastern Alamance likes a good challenge. As for Person, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Western Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
