Saint Francis Catholic got a great performance from Jake Long as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Long has posted since back in March of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sawyer Williams, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Gabe Long was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases.

Meanwhile, Oak Hall got the win against Countryside Christian on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-3.
Aaron Akins was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Oak Hall: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Farmer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Saint Francis Catholic pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Oak Hall, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
