Coventry gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Rockville Rams with a sharp 7-1 victory. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on 13 straight dating back to last season.
Kevin Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Johnson was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
