The Stephens County Indians had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 51-47 W over Elbert County on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Stephens County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dk Winn, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Aj Brown was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Stephens County's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Elbert County, they bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Stephens County will head out on the road to face off against Rabun County at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Rabun County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 379 points over their last five games. As for Elbert County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar Shoals at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
