Service is a perfect 8-0 against Bartlett since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cougars will face off against the Golden Bears at 5:15 p.m. Bartlett took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Service, who comes in off a win.
Bartlett will be up against a hot Service team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 15. The Cougars narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Chugiak 7-5.

Ryker Shreck and Sebastian Fournier did most of the damage at the plate: Shreck went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Fournier went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Fournier is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Bartlett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Bettye Davis East Anchorage.
Nick Cunitz put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Cunitz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Cunitz wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andy Rust, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Service pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Bartlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything went Service's way against Bartlett in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Service made off with a 16-0 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Golden Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
