Enterprise's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jyrell Reese, who rushed for 47 yards and two TDs. The Wildcats also got help from Cates Blackmon, who showed off his sure hands for 82 receiving yards.
Another reason for the win was Enterprise's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Brady Wadsworth and Landon Creech, who each picked up 1.5 sacks apiece. Another thorn in JAG's side was Walker Turner, who made 16 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Smiths Station played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Dothan and fell 48-14. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Wolves: they've now lost four in a row.
The victory made it two in a row for Enterprise and bumps their season record up to 4-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 26 points in those games. As for Smiths Station, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
