Howells-Dodge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenadie Throener, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Natalie Pieper, who scored 5 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Several Bluejays players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Skylar Scholting, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Hadley Wragge was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Howells-Dodge's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Pierce, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Howells-Dodge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Stanton at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Pierce, they will look to defend their home court on December 8th against Boone Central at 7:00 p.m.
