The Coopersville Broncos will challenge the Lowell Red Arrows at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Coopersville 2.3, Lowell 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
If Coopersville beats Lowell with seven runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Broncos beat Allendale on Wednesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-6. The win continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won seven in a row.

Ethan Umlor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Drew Duthler, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 11 contests. Another player making a difference was Beau Harris, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
While Lowell didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Kenowa Hills by a score of 7-2 on Wednesday.
Lowell let Owen Kreps and Owen Dennings run wild. Kreps went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Dennings went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.
Lowell's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Coopersville, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1-1.
