It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fernandina Beach had no problem doing just that on Monday. Everything went their way against the Global Outreach Charter Academy Kodiaks as they made off with a 57-32 win. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

Fernandina Beach can attribute much of their success to Miles Townsend, who posted ten points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Townsend has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrence Jones, who earned six points along with six boards and three steals.

Townsend wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Fernandina Beach was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Fernandina Beach has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-17.
